In May 2024, my partner's cousin, Sam Walker, sadly passed away after a brief battle with Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA).

Otherwise known as Bile Duct Cancer, it is the second most primary liver cancer and is now the cause of over 3,000 deaths a year in the UK.

In an effort to raise awareness and to continue to spread Sam's positive outlook and zest for life, Sam's family have already raised over £20,000 for AMMF - the UK's only charity dedicated solely to Cholangiocarcinoma - but now I want to do my part...

That's why I'm taking part in not one, but two Spartan Races on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October! I will be mentally and physically pushing myself to the limit, both in training and on race day, to help make a difference for a cause that's close to our hearts and worthy of this effort.
